Wisdom Teeth Oral Surgery, X-Ray, IV Anesthesia Policies

Appointments for Oral Surgery

Appointments to see the doctor are usually made for mornings on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Consultations and surgery typically are completed on the same day, saving you travel and time. We are proud to get you in and out in under an hour (most of the time!)

Referrals

You do not need a referral from a general dentist to see Dr. Hendrickson, however, any referring dentist should include a note pinpointing which teeth are under consideration. Dr. Hendrickson will make a final determination as to which teeth need attention during the consultation.

X-rays

We require panoramic X-rays showing the wisdom teeth within the past 12 months. If you do not have a recent x-ray, we can take one during your office visit.

IV Anesthesia

All of our surgeries are performed, under IV anesthesia while you sleep. This is a huge advantage for you and increases the chances of a perfect result. Please be sure that someone drives you to the office, remains in the office during the procedure (usually about 1 hour), and is there to take you home after the surgery. It is vital that you have nothing to eat or drink for five (5) hours prior to your anesthetic. However, it is important that you take any regular medication (high blood pressure, antibiotics, etc) or medications provided by this office, using only a small sip of water.
